What you'll need to know when registering
a new domain:
1. Administrative Contact
2. Technical Contact
3. Billing Contact
4. Domain name server
Before you register your new domain you'll need to decide who will be listed as the account contacts (you can list yourself for each contact). You'll also need the address of your domain name server which your web host will provide. If you don't have the domain name server or a web host yet, this information may be added at a later date.
Administrative contact. The administrative contact has the highest level of control over a domain. If and when you want to move the domain to a new registrar this is the person who will be contacted. Make sure your Adminsitrative contact has an email address listed that will not be changing soon. If the email address changes make sure it's updated at the domain registrar, or you could have a bit of red tape to get it straightened out.
Technical contact. The technical contact manages the name servers of a domain name. You can set this as your own name and email adress while creating your domain account.
Billing contact. This contact is responsible for receiving billing invoices from the domain name registrar. Again, make sure to use an email address that won't be changing. If you do change your address, make sure to update your records at your domain registrar.
One last item concerning your domain is the domain name server. The domain name server is the actual name of the server where your website is hosted. This has to be set up at your domain registrar in order to tell the domain name system on internet the address your particular server. If you host with us your name servers are: NS1.IDWEBANDPRINT.COM and NS2.IDWEBANDPRINT.COM

- Use .com for business, .org for non-profits, .gov for local and county governments, and .edu for schools whenever possible.
- Register several domain names to prevent others from taking names close to yours.
